In 2025, Zohran Mamdani won the mayorship of NYC; In January Mamdani’s campaign was floundering at around 1% and he had little name recognition. This first fundraiser in Williamsburg Brooklyn music venue
Baby’s All Right, headlined by Instagram star Kareem Rahma of Subway Takes, this event was a major launching point for the campaign. Not long after this event Zohran was able to reach the minimum for campaign matching funds.
